Getting Water Where It's Needed

Small growers with scarce water resources should consider using a soaker hose to irrigate their plants.

This hose is perforated with thousands of tiny holes, and when buried just below the soil's surface, can dramatically reduce water waste due to evaporation.

It also delivers water and nutrients exactly where you want them: to the roots of the plant.

Overhead irrigation, even drip stakes, can forfeit a lot of water to evaporation from the wind and sun.

Hiding the source of irrigation beneath the soil minimizes not only this waste but also ensures a slow and thorough irrigation.
